Rahoom privacy policy
Effective date: 11 October 2026. The clinic website section was added on 17 October 2026.
Rahoom is a medicine reminder and health record app, and rahoomapp.com is its website for doctors and clinics. This policy explains, in plain words, what happens to your information. The first sections are about the app; the section "The clinic website" is about the website.
The short version (the app)
- Your health information stays on your phone, encrypted.
- There is no account. You do not sign up or log in.
- Rahoom has no advertising and no analytics. It does not track you.
- Rahoom works fully offline. It does not access the internet.
- Nothing leaves your phone unless you choose to send it.
Your health information stays on your phone
Your medicines, doses, reminders, readings, lab reports, photos and notes are saved only on your phone, in an encrypted database. Rahoom does not upload them to us or to anyone else. We cannot see them.
Android's automatic app backup is switched off for Rahoom, so your records are not copied to a cloud account by the phone.
No account
Rahoom does not ask for your name, email address or phone number. There is nothing to sign in to.
No analytics and no ads
Rahoom contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools. It does not collect information about how you use the app.
Backups are made only by you
You can create a backup file from Settings → Backup & restore. A backup is made only when you ask for it. It is locked with a password that you choose, and you decide where to save or send the file. We never receive your backup and cannot open it. If you forget the password, nobody can open the backup, including us.
The diagnostic report
If something does not work, you can create a diagnostic report from Settings. It holds technical events only: when reminders were set and rang, whether the alarm screen opened, permission states, error types, the phone model and the Android and app versions.
It never holds medicine names, doses, readings, lab results, notes, photos, file names, passwords or anything you typed into the app.
The report stays on your phone until you share it yourself, for example by attaching it to an email to our support address.
Permissions
Rahoom asks Android for notifications, exact alarms, full-screen alarms, starting after a restart, vibration and the screen lock (to confirm it is you). These are used only to remind you on time and to protect your records. Rahoom does not ask Android for internet access, and does not use your location, contacts, microphone or call log.
When you take a photo of a medicine box or a lab report, the photo is saved encrypted inside Rahoom. When an alarm rings, the medicine photo is shown on the alarm screen even while the phone is locked (never in the notification); you can turn this off in Settings.
The doctor directory (not in version 1.0)
Rahoom version 1.0 does not include the public doctor directory. The app does not ask Android for internet permission and makes no internet requests of any kind.
If a later version turns the directory on, the app will download the public list of doctors from our server. Your search words and filters stay on your phone; the request contains only page numbers. None of your health information is ever sent. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may record your IP address and the time of the request in its logs, as web servers do.
The clinic website (rahoomapp.com)
The website is for doctors and clinics. The Rahoom app does not use it, and it holds no patient health information.
Doctors who apply. The join form asks for your name, specialty, syndicate membership number, clinic name, city and address, clinic phone, your mobile number, session days and hours, visit fee and languages. We use these only to check who you are and to set up your page. The form does not ask for your email. To verify you we may ask you to send documents on WhatsApp; they stay in that chat and are not uploaded to the website.
What is public. Only after we approve you, and only what you agreed to show: your name, specialty, clinic, city and address, visit fee, session hours and clinic phone. Your syndicate number and your personal mobile number are never public. You can ask us at any time to remove your page or your application.
Visitors. The website has no advertising and no analytics. It remembers your language and your light or dark choice in your own browser, in browser storage and a small preference cookie; they are not used to identify you. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may record your IP address and the time of the request in its logs, as web servers do. The join form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs.
Patients and bookings (later). Booking is not available yet, and the website holds no patient data today. Before booking opens we will update this page. The rule it will follow: we keep only the patient's name and phone number, reception sees the name and phone only (no email and no medical information), and we delete them 90 days after the appointment.
Children
Rahoom is not made for children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
